Beerland Festival organizers have announced that musician Eli Njuchi will no longer perform at the event. This news come in the wake of a tragic accident last week that resulted in the loss of all of his band members.
Lucy Msowoya, a festival organizer, confirmed to the media that Eli, who was going to perform at Scallas Cafe in Blantyre during the crossover of 2025 to 2026, will be replaced.
"We deeply understand the dark moment which the artist is going through," Msowoya said.

"However, we have decided to include Fada Moti, Aidfest & Kineo into the already mouth watering lineup of performers. While the show must go on, we deeply support Eli Njuchi during this tough moment"
On the other hand, the organizers have confirmed that, December 31st, will also see a separate Beerland Festival event take place in the capital city, Lilongwe, with Onesmus and Joe Ikon on the lineup. This is the first time on which the organizers are holding dual events simultaneously in two cities.
