Bangwe township based dancehall artist Mafo, has recently been trending online because of a freestyle he did late last week at Makosana.
"Babe Yanga" song composer indirectly addressed his relationship with DJ Joy Nathu and also tackled on unend rumours about what happend to a song he did with Gwamba.
In a one and half minutes freestyle, Mafo said him and music are not done yet, he has just readjusted his focus to uplift newbies in the industry. This was in response to why the charts toping artist has been offline in music industry for the past two years.
On Joy Nathu saga, Good Shudren leader said the DJ has been turning down his songs. In a separate interview with Malawi Heat, self claimed Mwini Film said he sent couple of songs to DJ wachikaladi for premiering but Joy said that the songs were not good enough to be featured on his four hours Monday night program.
"DJ wachikaladi (Joy Nathu) nyimbo zanga akumakana", says the part of the freestyle.
"I don't know what I did to him to deserve this treatment but it's okay, we made name before Made on Monday" said Mafo in an exclusive interview with this publication.
In similar cases, other artists including Evans Muzik, Jolly Bro and Wikise have in the past accused Made on Monday host for asking money from them for their songs to be featured on his program.
On a song he did with Gwamba, Mafo said that the song willl never see the light of the day.
"Mwina mitanda yathu ndiyosiyana ( Maybe our crosses are different)" said the other part of the Makosana freestyle.
Some music fans on the internet are suggesting that maybe Gwamba was not impressed with the song that's why he has decided to quit talking and promoting it.
"Za collabo osandifunsa zimenezo ndizapadzana."said Mafo.
Meanwhile both Gwamba and Joy Nathu have declined to comment on the trending freestyle.
