The spectre of homelessness is said to be staring South African singer, Zahara in the face after Nedbank announced plans to auction her house for not paying off the loan she took.
The “Loliwe” hitmaker had reportedly taken an R1.9 million loan a giant her home in Roodepoort. Her account is reportedly six months in arrears of almost 18k.
In the middle if the spectre of homelessness, Zahara’s fans are rallying behind her and making suggestions on how to overcome her current challenges.
Some of her fans suggest that they contribute to help her offset her loan. Some asked her to go on a countrywide tour, and they would show up and buy her tickets even if she had to sing only old songs.
And yet, some criticised her for having “drank up” all the money she made from her music. These same people criticising her also criticised those thinking of helping her. They argued that most of those speaking about assisting the singer have not even helped their immediate families.
The news about the bank auctioning her home comes after another piece of bad news, the singing losing her awards to thieves who mysteriously got into her house and made away with them.
