Buckle up, because Doc has once again chimed in debate about
top musicians in the country.
In a recent Facebook post, singer Patience Namadingo
introduced veteran musician, Lucius Banda
as the most influential and skilled artist to ever come out of Malawi.
“Sir Soldier Lucius Banda. The greatest musician ever to
come out of Malawi.”, reads one part of the post.
Meanwhile, the post has stirred mixed reactions among his
followers. According to the comments monitored on the page many followers are
agreeing with this view.
“Soldier is to Malawi what Fela Kuti is to Nigeria.”, reads
the closing sentence of the post.
Lucius Banda started his music career in early 90s. He has released
20 albums and he has had world tours several times.
In his response, former Balaka West parliamentarian applauded
Namadingo for being the most successful artist
of the new generation.
