In his resignation letter Munthali pointed outed government's failure to fulfill what it promised Malawians during the campaign period.

The Malawi Congress Party National Publicity Secretary Reverend Maurice Munthali has resigned from the party.

Munthali was elected the mouthpiece of the party during the party's convention.

Munthali concluded his resignation letter addressed to the secretary general by expressing hope that the party with refocusing, dedication and teamwork the MCP will steer the nation to its intended destiny.
