In a news that got Malawians paralyzed for a second, director of youths in Malawi Congress Party, (MCP)
Richard Chimwendo Banda has announced that musician Skeffa Chimoto is being
prepared by the ruling party to contest as its member of parliament in
Nkhotakonta South East constituency.
During the rally that
took place in the said constituency, Chimwendo Banda painted the ‘Ndakusowa ‘ crooner as the true son of area.
The news did not go down well with most of the musician’s fans who threw unprintable curses at the star
and advised him to revisit his decision.

“You are better of as a musician man njira mwatengayi
tikutulukani straight.” Commented one fan on Akometsi Facebook when the news
broke.
Meanwhile, some sources have indicated that the star has revoked
his move and its only a matter of time before he makes official announcement.
