| Driemo becomes first Malawian to reach 1 million YouTube views in five months |
Artist of the moment, Driemo has become the first ever local
artist to rake in a million views on YouTube in a space of five months
Taking it to social media, Ntchisi based artist thanked the
support from his fans and his team for the milestone.
“It’s never easy but with your support”, posted Driemo on his Facebook page, “we have managed to bag one million views on Compensation music video.
Compensation is one of the biggest song to come out of Malawi this this alongside Eli Njuchi’s
Gu G u Gu and Achalume by Warlycris. Meanwhile Gu Gu Gu is just ten thousand views away from setting
the same record.
Patience Namadingo was the first Malawian artist to reach a
million views with his biggest song “Mapulani” in 2020.
