Fresh from winning the prestigious BEFFTA AWARDS as best African international act last year, Malawian star Tay Grin has started 2015 on a high as he has been named among 100 most influential people in the world.
The Nyau King as fondly known was named in C.HUB Magazine 100 most influential people in the world and got ranked on position 82.
In an interview with Malawi24, the multi-award winning artist and entrepreneur sid he was in high spirits to claim the honour to be named in the list.
"It's such a great honour to be regarded to be regarded as one who influences change. And with this great honour comes great responsibilities. I would like to use this opportunity to influence change for my people. I'm thankful to God for this as he is my life's captain and He is responsible for my achievements." Said Grin who had recently been involved in project talks with US Pop hit maker Madonna.
The "Two by Two" hit maker said he is apparently in a new foundation aimed at ending poverty in the country.
"We have definitely not seen the last of Tay Grin as I am in the middle of launching a new foundation to empower the people of Malawi to rise above poverty. The foundation due to launch shortly is called Tay Grin Community Empowerment Foundation."
Others high profile personalities on the list are music mogul Simon Cowell, Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, US first lady Michelle Obama, Lord Alan Sugar, Hilary Clinton, Sir Trevor Mc Donald, Liverpool and Italian Striker Mario Balotelli, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and many more.
