24 year old Chuma Khondowe has been crowned as the first ever Miss Malawi Cape Town. The event took place at Camps Bay High in Cape Town, South Africa. Chuma managed to outshine the other seven competitors as she came in first place. Amongst her competition were 19 year old Charmain itumu and 25 year old Dalitso Mankhambera that came in 2nd and 3rd place.
Dr Thomas-who is the Chairman of the Malawian Association In cape town said that The goal of the pageant is to promote the Malawian culture, tradition and warm beauty of Malawians. He also pointed out the pageant will be taking place annually.
