Musician Lawi has been given a 24 hour ultimatum to issue a statement of apology for tarnishing Awilo Longomba's image over failure to show up at the Exclusive Dinner and Dance.
One of the Awilo's manager confirmed the development on a video which was released explaining how the deal flopped.
In the video, the manager claims that Lawi did not send any money to Awilo's team for the Congolese artist to performance at the function.
However, the management has ordered Lawi to apologize to Awilo and his management, Malawians as well as the sponsors of the event.
The dinner was held on 29th April at BICC with the support from multi-award winner Namadingo as a guest artist.
