Gwamba |
Philanthropist and rapper, Gwamba has poured outrage towards
football governing body in the country, FAM for spending a lot of resources on
unproductive foreign coaches. According to Major 1 Records signee, local
coaches are tactically good compared to expatriates that FAM hires.
Gwamba’s sentiment comes in after a 2-0 loss that Malawi national
team, The Flames suffered last night in the hands of Egypt in Cairo.
Flames conceded a first goal at 18th minute,
thanks to Liverpool’s all time goal scorer, Muhamad Salah. This was due to poor communication of flames
defenders.
On 46th minute, the Pharaohs of Egypt find their
way to side of the net again courtesy of VfL Wolfsburg forward Omar Marmoush, a
goal that a lot of fans blame Charles Thom’s lame goal keeping skills.
After the game, a lot of football fans back home, Gwamba
included criticized coach Marinica for ill tactics he used to encounter the 7
times African Cup of Nations winners.
Nabola Kusache song architecture wrote on his social handles “Kinnah Phiri and Meke Mwase were much better
managers than anthu amene timatenga kunjawa. Komanso, athuwa are paid much
less, akunjawa are given millions and millions but don’t bring any results.
Timapondelezana tokhatokha.”
Kinnah Phiri and Meke Mwase are only coaches that qualified
to AFCON with the flames, they are both indigenous.
