Tear drops! As Martse's clinches Zikomo award

It rained tears at the historic Zikomo awards ceremony, where Malawi's president, Lazarus Chakwera, handed over the 'lifetime achiever award' to the Nkhatas, in honour of the fallen local hiphop legend, Martse.

The brief emotional statement by his brother, in accepting the award, left people very emotional that most of them could not afford to hold their streams of tears. Some cried lunged out!

Martse will, according to his fans, forever be one of the most iconic musicians in the local hip-hop genre.

The Zikomo Award he was honoured with at State House in Lilongwe is described  as a 'well-deserved' accolade by most entertainment pundits far and beyond.

" I wish heaven had visiting hours, we could go and tell him how proud his fans are" Said Martse's big brother.

In his remarks, Chakwera said he delivered the award because he is aware of how influential Martin was and how his music impacts the youth.

Rapper, Martse, died in May after sustaining grevious burns when the house he slept in caught fire in Mangochi.
