South African music duo Major League Djz have taken to social media to advise those who are attending Riky Rick Makhado’s funeral to look their best.
The twin brothers who used to work with Riky Rick before his untimely death took to Twitter to implore and urge those who will attend the funeral to honour him by dressing up in their best outfits.
Knowing that the late rapper was a fashion icon and made a series of fashion statements at events, the music producers said people should look their best.
“GUYS EVERYONE PLEASE IF YOU COMING TO THE FUNERAL OR MEMORIAL SERVICE. PLEASE LET’S ALL LOOK OUR BEST, LIKE OUR BEST. LET’S DO IT FOR HIM THE LAST. LIKE HE DID IT FOR US ALL THE TIME,” they tweeted.
Tweeps are in agreement with Major League Djz suggestions as they affirmed that he was a fashion icon and a trendsetter. Some have even suggested that the 23rd of February should be dubbed ‘National Umswenko Day.‘
Major League Djz announcement comes after Riky Rick’s family announced his funeral proceedings. The Makhado family revealed that his funeral will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Although the funeral service will be private, the Makhado family has agreed to live stream the proceedings for Riky Rick’s multitudes of fans.
Three days later, on Friday, March 4, 2022, the family will hold a memorial service for the late musician. This event will be open to close friends and family as well as selected media. The Makhado family has also graciously allowed the memorial service to be live-streamed for the benefit of the millions who loved Riky Rick.
