Mixed reviews pour in on Fatsani Movie; "it was overrated!"

Barely few hours after Fatsani Movie was released to the public eye, some reviewers have weighed in, describing the Malawian film as 'somewhat overrated.'

While other reviewers who have accessed the material on Showmax are rating the movie to be one of the best local movies, others are punching holes on it.

"The storyline is not new. Those familiar to Nigerian movies can easily relate it to most movies," claimed Alfonso Zulanga, movie pundit, and reviewer.

He added; "We may forgive them because it is the first movie, but there are several areas of improvements."

In contrast, Thomas Chirwa, a  university of Malawi arts in drama student, holds to a notion, in his review, that the movie is good and worth the salt. 

"The picture quality. The storyline. The organisation and casting is spot on. This is an international material," reads part of his review in part.

Director of the movie, Sukez Sukali, of HD plus creations, a multimedia company that has produced the movie, disclosed in a Facebook post that being their first production, they may not be more perfect.

"But we happy of this achievement," he said.
