World's giant platform for music streaming, Spotify has shared details of its most streamed acts in a period of 1 January to 27 November, 2021 with C-Scripture toping the list on local scene.
The 27-,year-old gospel rapper has beaten big name artists- including the likes of Gwamba, Namadingo, Onesimus and Tay Grin- to the crown of of over hundred eighty thousands streams over the last year.
Music Journalist Jones Chikazunga has encouraged local artists saying they have a lot of work to do. He Said artists can make a lot of money if they invest heavily on worldwide music digital platforms like Spotify and YouTube.
"Congratulations to C-Scripiture but there is nothing to celebrate here as music industry. We can do better" said Chikazunga.
Blantyre based C-Scrpiture has become the first local artist to pull these streams on Spotify.
