Switzerland-based singer and guitarist Ernest Ikwanga is on Saturday night expected to share stage with Lulu – born Lawrence Khwisa – at Crossroads Hotel in the capital Lilongwe.
The show, titled ‘Homecoming Concert’, is poised to give music lovers a dosage of afro-pop and jazz.
“It has been titled ‘Homecoming
Concert’ because I have been away from home for some time.
“I am still based in
Switzerland but I am back for show time. I have been here for close to three
weeks now and have performed in some shows but this is the main one,” Ikwanga told
the Daily Times.
On his part, Lulu said he
was prepared for the concert and that he was happy to perform with Ikwanga
after a long time.
“We were together on
Mothers’ Day when we gave mothers at Bwaila a treat and now we are giving
people something different,” he said.
