Celebrated musician Onesimus
says he feels “great” and “honoured” to work with the Amaryllis Hotel – one of
the glamorous hotels in Malawi’s commercial capital Blantyre.
“The hotel has promised to
support me in my music. It is not only me who will benefit but the entire
creative industry as I will be supporting up and coming musicians by funding
their projects,” Onesimus said last Thursday when he, and his team, toured
Amaryllis.
The artist, born Armstrong
Kalua, who is set to hold a ‘Home Coming’ concert in Lilongwe next month, said
it was an exciting tour with the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager to
have an insight and get to learn more about the hotel.
The ‘Solomoni’ hit-maker told
the Daily Times: “We spoke about Amaryllis Hotel talent show that will
be launched later in the year and aired on different television stations in the
country, accommodating youth from all over the world.”
Onesimus said he also had
time to touch base with the hotel on charity events that he will embark on in
communities in the country.
