Reggae maestros, Chileka-based Black Missionaries, have
released four promotional singles ahead of their Kuimba 12 release.
According to the band’s leader, Anjiru Fumulani, the four
singles precede the official release of their album slated for around November
or December.
The four singles are Ndikanapanda, Praise, Za Dziko Lapansi and Timponye.
The songs have seen the two Fumulani siblings Anjiru and
Chizondi alternating on the vocals as per tradition.
They have enjoyed the support of seasoned guitarist Erik
Paliani who manned the lead guitar, Mcdonald Chimkango on backing vocals and
Peter Amidu on the bass guitar.
Amos Mulolowa was tasked with the production of the album
at his Active A Studios in Blantyre.
Fumulani said the release of the four singles follows
three years of working and refining their new production.
“It has been a long time since we last released new
music. We are glad that we are getting closer to the release of our Kuimba 12
album,” he said.
The release of the four singles will coincide with the
release of two music videos Praise and Ndikanapanda.
