Celebrated dancehall artist BlakJak, real name Fatsani Kalonda, has broken the record by making K2.1 million in just an hour through online music sales of his new album #Indzee.
According to Kalonda, the K2.1 million has been
generated from friends, corporations and fans who have pre-ordered the album.
The album was released at 8 pm on Sunday, and is
available on the market at K5000.
BlakJak who told MalawiHeat.com that he
has been working on the album for the last three years, said he was excited
with the feat.
“I saw this coming because we put in a lot of effort in the creation of this
album. My team and I have vehemently done the marketing. I’m only surprised
that we made 2.1 million in an hour,” said BlakJak.
BlakJak also disclosed that the album made MK500,000+ at his listening
party a week ago. Arguably, the album has already generated revenue of
approximately K3 million.
