Mwendera who is currently studying a Masters in Environment Management took a selfie in front of the BET awards on TV and posted on social media, allowing a selection among other entries by BET Africa. In an Interview the studded queen confirmed her selection to attend this year’s BET awards. “I am being sent to attend the ‘BET Experience’ in Los Angeles,Califonia. I am ecstatic and really looking forward to the experience” said Mwendera. Among the nominated Africans include Nigerian artists, Davido and Tiwa Savage in mentioning a few. BET awards were established in 2001 to celebrate African Americans and other minories in music, acting, sports and other fields of entertainment. The annual presentation Ceremony features performances by artists and some of the awards of more popular interest.
