Timoteo Malawi has had quite the surprising 2014. First he wrote and recorded “Ma Kwacha Ndi Ma Dollars,” a song he’d ever written specifically for a politically motivated topic ‘Cash-gate’.
Then, this month, he worked with top music producer and performing artist Janta on his new video “Black Chick”.
Black Chick is a single from Timoteo Malawi's 2nd studio Album "African Tears" which was released in November 2013. The song in harmony with the whole album talks about issues that Africa shade tears for, mainly because of western influence.
Black Chick which was produced by Janta encourages all African ladies to be satisfied with who they are. The lines like" Black is Beautiful" and "you aren’t broken gal don't you fix yourself" reviles the heart for this wonderful song.
The video features most of Lilongwe top models the likes of Chichi, Mwajuma, Kissy face, Meek and Anita. It was shot by Slim Jay and was edited by Essim, under Tkmore/Lowfat studios.
