Second
year Bachelor of Arts (Education) student at Mzuzu University (Mzuni) Vitumbiko
Kumwenda over the weekend impressed a team of esteemed judges and got endorsed
as Mr. Mzuzu University 2013.
Vitu,
a humble and friendly guy among his colleagues, stunned a jam-packed audience
Sunday with the way he walked, dressed and smiled.
“It
was a miracle when the judges announced that
I had won,” said a smiling Vitu in an interview with www.malawiheat.com. “But I’m always
self-confident and optimistic. I think that’s what made me win.”
He
said he will soon embark on a resource mobilization campaign to finance some of
the projects – including charity works – which his office will be implementing
in Mzuzu City.
This
year’s Mr. Mzuni Contest 2013 was sponsored by the Malawi Savings Bank (MSB),
one of the leading government-owned banks in the country.

During the contest, Final Mulenga emerged the First Prince while Davie Chikoko is Mr. Mzuni 2013 Second Prince.
