After claiming that people in his home village bewitched him after releasing a witchcraft scathing song in 2009, Malawi’s ‘Khuzumule’ hit-maker Moses Makawa was yet again attacked by unidentified thugs in Malawi’s capital Lilongwe Thursday night.
After claiming that people in his home village bewitched him after releasing a witchcraft scathing song in 2009, Malawi’s ‘Khuzumule’ hit-maker Moses Makawa was yet again attacked by unidentified thugs in Malawi’s capital Lilongwe Thursday night.
“I’m not feeling well,” said Moses.
He added: “I’m currently receiving treatment from MIM health
facility. The ambush has left my face badly injured.”
The youthful musician, who shot to fame in 2009 after
releasing his debut album Zonse ndi
Nthawi, said he was attacked on his way from music rehearsals around 9 pm
by a group of about 30 people.
He was robbed of K35, 000 cash before being badly
beaten by metal bars and machetes.
The matter is currently being followed up by Nsundwe
and Kanengo Police where investigations have been launched.
