Patience and Fortune

Malawi Heat

By Alex Mwase

They are my two dreams. Day in, day out, they haunt me, I wish I had either of them; But they're elusive as air.

Patience and Fortune, I've died a thousand times for them; A test of my luck, But my cage wasn't sufficient To contain either of them, I wish I had Fortune at least.

My dreams are shattered: I can't dream anymore, Maybe I lacked patience, if not fortune, Yet still, Patience is my dream.
