Success
Series Group, a new business firm trading in high quality products from China,
says Malawians have “no option” except to buy electronics from them.
The
firm, which officially launched its operations in Mzuzu last Friday through a
press conference, said it would focus on providing a platform on which
Malawians can purchase goods from China while in Malawi.
Speaking
at the conference Success Series public relations consultant Pius Nyondo said
they had started on a “good note.”
Nyondo
said they had only been “around for a year” but they “had registered success
stories” in their businesses.
“We
have only been operating since 2014, but we’ve been able to establish our base,
and open our headquarters in the Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds at Stand No. 31B in
Blantyre.
“People
must trade with us because we supply commodities at low prices since we buy
direct from manufacturers. We supply in the quickest period of 15 to 30 days of
order, and that is locally hard to find stuff,” explained Nyondo.
Some
of the products on offer include TVs, fridges, speakers, phones, computers and
such accessories as phone and computer LCDs, batteries, screen protectors,
porches, headsets, USBs, power banks, chargers and hard drives, according to
Nyondo.
He
said also on offer were, furniture, machinery, decent and casual dressing,
executive suits, wedding dresses, shoes, trousers, shirts and t-shirts at
affordable prices.
“We
have three modes of payment: full spot, half spot and no spot, but we encourage
our customers to use full spot because it is the cheapest,” said Nyondo.
He
added: “For example, for those into cosmetics business, Brazilian Hair would
cost them K17 000 per ball of 18 inch Grade 6A Brazilian hair for full spot
while the same may cost a buyer K28 000 for no spot. And it is also important
to note that the commodity costs K38 000 in Malawi.”
